Camille En Provence

We were looking for Sunday lunch and saw Camilles Cafe which was just closing. A staff member checked across the road for us as there was a place there doing lunch. She motioned us over. "Is this Camille's place?" we asked. "I am Camille" was the answer. We got seated at a lovely table for 3 adults and 2 kids. Great home cooked Provencial food followed. Further insult o the establishment was one adult could only pick at her food because of travel sickness and the kids weren't hungry. My father in Law and I tried to make up for it with an entree of escargots in pastry shells- formidable. A Gratin with truffle, potatoes and fresh vegetables and Seared Tuna with more fresh garden picked veges were top notch. Camille took it in her stride as her Restaurant was pumping and she made us feel equally welcome - even after missing the dessert ( we had to get to Marseille for a World Cup game) and scarpering away. Loved this place and we will one day return prepared to enjoy the full experience.....

Very cozy restaurant with food that is clearly made with love and passion. The amount of food could be a little more though. It’s very positive that the waiters speak English and are very friendly and patient. The drinks are okay, could use a little of work. It would also be nice if there was an English menu on their internet site or as a card.

Absolutely delicious - best food in provence!!! We recommend the restaurant to everyone! The dishes and deserts are delicious, carefully and beautifully prepared and presented, the service is very good and friendly, and also the drinks/cocktails are more than good! The atmosphere of the restaurant is very cosy and for what you get, the prices are absolutely fair (rather inexpensive!). We definitely will be back when visiting the region again! THANK YOU!
